I've only got one at the moment. Does anyone use a hard drive to store saves? I might just do that rather than having to buy a bunch of memory cards.

I've got four memory cards.
This is down from six; I've had two memory cards crap out on me this year, and they weren't even third-party.
AFAIK, there's no way to save/load directly from/to a hard drive. You could use one of the apps in HD Loader to transfer save data from your mem card to a thumb stick or a hard drive, but this would be ideal only for backups, since you'd have to transfer the data back to the memory card if you wanted to play from your last save.

For PS2, Sony Made Red, Blue and Black ones.
Nyco made these. which are also sanctioned by Sony
The key is to look for the word Magic Gate.
I use Action Replay Max to transfer Memory to USB Stick for a PC backup.

I have 5 PS2 black memory cards, I have a lot because I have over 50 PS2 games, but I'm not even close to finished with this collection.

I have 3. 1 black one and the 2 pack red and blue. I haven't used the red one yet. Probably will soon.

Just one for my PS2, but probably about...5 or 6 for the PS1.
How cheap could I pick up a hardrive these days? As it seems as if it would save a lot of hassle.
