http://kotaku.com/5491419/nintendo-woul ... icarus-wiiIt's just talk now, but I love the original and think a sequel has been a long time coming. Long live Pit!

I dunno, but I think more people found about Kid Icarus from Super Smash Bros Brawl, as it had Pit as a playable character and the demo on it.

Wii be interesting, if they keep it similar to the first (maybe not so hard!) but 3D it could work very well, I liked the first one quite a bit and I am on the lookout for the second one since I got my Super Gameboy but no luck yet.
Kid Icarus is bad ass.

...or 3D could work like shit. i can only think of one game that has benefited from going 2D to 3D: mario 64. mario 64 kicks so much ass, and everybody knows this.
the rest has just been shit jobs. i can only think of a few off the top of my head, but they include: sonic, castlevania, earthworm jim, contra, mortal kombat, donkey kong 64. the list can go on and on.
true or false: games transitioning from 2D to 3D is pure shit? true; this is based on fact, not opinion.

2D, 3D - no one is better than the other. A game is either great or not based on so many other factors than if it is 3D or 2D. That's just the delivery method.
Fact.

i've been hoping that nintendo would make a wii ware kid icarus game.
as for the game boy sequel, i can't recommend it enough. it's not nearly as difficult as the original (in fact it might be a little too easy) and has always been one of my favorite game boy games. i got it shortly after it originally was released and still play through it every so often.

You are thinking of games that made the transition when 3D was new and people were experimenting / ripping off Mario 64. And I think if they made it similar to NSMB it could turn out amazing!
If the opt for third person, 360 rotation, 3D I cant imagine it will be anything but shocking.
I hope its a platformer, 3D on a 2D plane.

No way, man. If they bring a game like this back after
all these years then i hope it is hard as hell. I want to play the same damn level over and over again until i memorize where every freakin snake, flying eyeball, and item stealing pluton is going to pop up. I love this Kid Icarus; i sure hope they don't mess it up.

While I love the game now, when I was younger I hated the game, it was too hard so I never played it. The challenge is great at my age now, but Nintendo need to appeal to a broad market and a game as hard as the first doesn't. Maybe they could have a 'hard' mode, but if it is released with only the same style of difficulty found in the first, the game will flop.
My opinion anyhow.

Anyways, a new Kid Icarus would be pretty cool. Pit's inclusion in SSBB means Nintendo hasn't completely forgotten about the franchise, so now seems as good a time as ever to revive it.
