Hey Guys,
Just thought that I would share the fact that I FINALLY beat Devil May Cry 4. Holy crap was this a hard game, probably the hardest game ive ever beaten. Now Im doing the Bloody Palace game mode.
Anyone else beat this game?

Re: Finally Beat Devil May Cry 4
I actually haven't played a DMC game since the first one came out, but I've been hearing about the games more and more lately, and it's really making me want to play them.
Congrats on beating it! I have heard that it gets really hard towards the end.

My friends didn't care for it, but I thought it was awesome! Totally forgot about that game...

I thought the backtracking in the later half of the game was completely tacked on a lame.
Couldn't stand that.
DMC 3 is far superior.

I haven't touched Heaven or Hell or the Hell and Hell difficulties but I destroyed the other modes. Backtracking was stupid but Dante was damn fun to play as.

DMC3 and DMC1 are easily two of my favorite games of all time. DMC2 and DMC4 are mediocre in comparison, and are only slightly better than your average stylish hack n' slash game. However, DMC 1 and DMC3 are so good that, despite the shortcomings of 2 and 4 (DMC4 may be the easiest/worst/least inventive of the series), the series is arguably the best new IP of the past decade.

Re: Finally Beat Devil May Cry 4
I beat it but stopped partway through hard mode. 3 is one of my favourite action games ever. I was kind of disspointed with 4, although I dont think it was by any means a bad game. I really liked playing as Nero. I think his demon hand was kind of under utillized but I loved doing rev attacks with his sword. It added another satisfying element to combat, especially when you can perfect the timing to get a max damage charged slash every single time you slash.

I am going to start playing this game today,
Its upsetting , most people are on the negative side.
I can't play dmc1 or 3 , I don't have a ps2, so this is my only option. I really want to experience Devil May Cry, is 4 that bad?
