I recieved the chip and battery today and installed it right when I got home. At first, I thought it didn't work because so many of my burns wouldn't read but when I tossed my Panzer Dragoon Saga disc in there, it ran perfectly. I guess I grabbed a bad image of Nights. That and Nero doesn't like to burn backups very well. I'm using clone cd now. Anyways, it was well worth the money and I'll be sure buy again sometime and send along the message to anyone who has some retro gaming hardware needs.

P.S.

The wal-mart bag added a nice professional touch. :P

hehe -- everybody always loves the Wal-Mart bags :)
I seriously find them to be much more effective packing material than bubble wrap and such

Dang.

I've having some problems. It seems Panzer Dragoon Saga is the only game that wants to work. I've tried three other games and they don't want to work. Can someone help me out?

Where are you getting your images? also, what's the media? Crappy media has a low success rate.

Yes, burn your games at low speeds, use Alcohol 120% more often than not, and TDK is a good brand to stick with. ^^

Perhaps I should make a list of programs that are used, success rate, and media comparisons...

I've been downloading them from underground-gamers and I've used both nero 6 and clone cd to burn them.

Now, always burn at 4x, I always use alcohol 120, and I always have success. Before when I used to use nero, success was a 2/3 deal. So, consider getting alcohol 120%. Oh, and I use the cheapest cd-rs I can find at the time.

Ok, I've now tried out about a dozen games and I tried burning them all using clone cd, alcohol 120%, and Nero 6, and only Panzer Dragoon Saga disc #1 works right. I've used expensive sany cds and I've used cheap memorex cds. I've also tried using a different burner. Same results.

I used the A+B method. Should I try the other method?
