Any opinions? I've followed the site off and on for awhile and like a lot of the videos. Can't escape feeling like it's got a lot of potential it isn't living up to, though.

I like those guys, but of course Retroware TV are from Connecticut, and that just makes me excited when I hear someone is from my homestate. I am pretty supportive to them, I even bought some of there DVDs. I just wish they release more material, at least try to compete with ScrewAttack.

I've been following them since pretty much when they started. The main show is alright, but my favorites are really Video Game Takeout and The Happy Video Game Nerd.
Video Game Takeout is what influenced me to go out and pick up some GBA cartridges after only ever having "Wario Ware Inc." since I bought it from a friend in 2004.

I was browsing the Racketboy forums and what do I see? A thread about RetrowareTV? lol
Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm glad you are enjoying the show.
I'm actually about to get back to working on new videos today so hopefully you'll see something from me in the not too distant future.

As far as why we don't "compete with ScrewAttack" I'd say it's a difference in philosophy. ScrewAttack does make something new every day, but a lot of it is not really about games and the part that is seems to be mostly about modern games these days.
That's not to say it's good or bad, just different.
Also one HVGN / Gaming Historian / RetrowareTV episode is like 15 to 20 minutes long these days so it's really not realistic to expect those guys to be able to make a new one every week.
I prefer to think of our site as somehting like Hardcore Gaming 101. It may not update as frequently, but it's a great resource and when the guys do cover something you can be pretty sure they where thorough.
That's my take on it anyway.

Ben, I'll be looking forward to the new episodes. I seriously had no interest in portable games when Retroware TV first featured you show, but I have since grown to really enjoy my Gameboy Advance. I have made several purchases based on your recommendations. Thanks for the great show!

Yeah, trust me, it gets very easy to get burnt out when you try to pump out content too quickly. Quality over quantity!
