PS2 slim price increase.

I have noticed on sites such as amazon and ebay that the price of new PS2 slims are increasing and amazon no longer carries the standard black and silver version. I am wondering if this is a forshadowing of discontinuation of the console. Do stores still have the console in stock often?

i know at my used game store, we have about 14 or 15 used ps2 slims, the holiday season tends to drive prices up a little bit too, but i wouldnt expect them to get that much higher,there are so many of them out there..the only reason they are still so high is because they are still making games and the ps3 isnt bc
