Take 1 PSP Slim, a car mirror and a PSP window mount and take the PSP to pieces:



The mirror was a little bit bigger than needed:



So I broke out the trusty file:



Put it all back to gether and viola, a PSP rear view mirror for the car. Illustrated on the kitchen window:




The internals still work on the PSP, so if I hook it up to my iTrip and can figure out how to work the PSP without the screen, I can use it for some in car choonz.

I needed a new rear view mirror for my car since my old one was a bit battered. Figured a PSP would be a good replacement.

It was my friends old PSP. It drained batteries after about half hour. Tried several batteries, but no luck. So he sold it to me for cheap to use for the project. I already have a PSP. Plus I could rebuild the PSP if need be. I didn't break anything when I took it apart/put the mirror in.

For all the parts, including the PSP itself, it cost me only a little bit more than the usual novelty mirrors.

can't you mount a rear view camera and have the PSP show the rear view via a video feed ?

How cool would it be to have it be the rearview and then pop on the gps through the glass?

That's why the mount is removable. Believe me, I'm well aware of car thieves. This was what happened to my last car.
