XBLA? Meh. Remember the last full-featured game that came out on Live Arcade?
Oh yeah... 15 dollars for the Lumines "demo" and 7-10 for every other "add-on" pack! Thanks so much MS and Q?!
I can see it now: 15 dollars for the first 2-3 levels, and 40 in add-ons!
And people complained about GT:HD - atleast with that you got 2 tracks and a handful of cars FREE OF CHARGE.
Wii? We'll see...

sounds good to me. I still have no idea why they put katamari on the PS2 when it was obviously more fit for the gamecube, audience wise. It's basically a Viewtiful Joe. Ugh, and the katamari for the PSP. God, why didn't they just make that for the DS instead?! Stupid namco. No wonder they are part of bandai now

Oh I don't know, it could be the fact that putting a game like Katamari Damacy on a system that no one really bought 3rd party games for would've been a very dumb move.
And thanks for bringing up a prime example of why it wasn't on GC.

Wow you're a real genius aren't you? You do know that viewtiful Joe, a strange third party title, did well on the cube and didn't do as well on the PS2. You know, it seems you are just being argumentative cuz you don't like how I disagree with you.Indy_aka_Rex wrote:metaleggman wrote:sounds good to me. Funny, because no site actually makes not that the game sold very well. In fact, it's ommitted.. but hey I'll take your word for it. And RE4 sold more copies on GameCube than it did on PS2, correct?
Oh and Chibi Robo and Odama sold twice as many copies as Katamari Damacy did on PS2 - correct? Or how about Guitar Hero? Thats a game that belongs on GameCube much moreso than PS2 - I'm sure it would've been as much of a hit on that as it would've on GC.
No I'm not contrarian for the sake of being it - I'm contrarian because the fact of the matter is, Katamari on GameCube? Would've been a collosal flop. That's why it was never on it. Why bother with a system that fits your image, but doesn't even have a quarter of the competitions userbase when you can release it on the competition's hardware and sell twice or 3 times as many copies? PS2 has/had its fair share of quirky titles. So its 'image' was more than appropriate for Katamari, and its userbase was more than enough for it.

No, see you think third party games didn't sell well on the cube because first party games were dominant. It's basically just because we only got a small amount of good third party support, with the rest being shitty movie licences and shitty ports. THATS why first party games sell well on the console. Good third party games DO in fact sell well, CUZ THEY ARE GOOD. I mean hell, it's like this on all consoles! First party's games are almost always dominant. Halo? Rachet and Clank? News flash matlock!
And of course the "contrarian" wouldn't admit to him being contrary for the sake of being contrary.
