I need advice

I bought a Genesis for a friend a few days ago (for 5 bucks with all cables and controllers, YAY) and I need to know which games would be best for him. I'm thinking one of each category:
Fighting
Incredibly hard platforming
Arcade Conversion
and, if there's an RPG for under 10 bucks, that.
I'm looking for fairly cheap games of high quality.

For a good/hard platformer you should pick up Dynamite Heady its pretty cheap too, i think you can find it for like 5 bucks.

You know, I was playing a really great Genesis arcade conversion this morning.
Midnight ResistanceI love this game. It can be found for fairly cheap and has an epic soundtrack.

I must have Midnight Resistance.

When You said that, "Marvel Land" came to mind. This game is also known as "talmit's adventure" in some territories. It's lots of fun, but very, very hard to get all the way through all sixty levels.

Why, thank you, Alex.

Street fighter 2 and any of the MK games are always safe bets. For RPGs, I think the Phantasy star series runs fairly cheap. Also, did you get that locally, if so where?

The Adventures of Batman and Robin:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4k0ZqBA9 ... re=relatedIt's like contra and a shmup mixed together with some Batman and techno thrown in. Plus the graphics push the Genesis to it's max (256 colors on screen at once, scaling, rotation, polygons, morphmation, insane amounts of parallax and more) in some areas.
