Yet another "MAI SATURN COPYS DON'T WORK" thread

Long story short: I have a modded Saturn. I have successfully burned games on it. Now I want to burn a bin/cue of Panzer Dragoon. Everything works except some of the music is a screeching, garbled nightmare of sounds. This has also happened while I tried burning MMX3 (I did patch it first). Anyone know why this would happen? I'm using TDK which in my experience is a good brand. So far I have 3 coasters due to this problem. Help is greatly appretiated.

This is prob. because the music in your rip isn't the right frequency. Find another upload?

Yeah. At first I thought it was the generic burner, but I burned two other games afterwards without issues. Thanks.

Edit: What is the correct frequency for the audio files? I can only find Megaman X 3 in bin/cue/ape format and I think that decoding the .ape files make them unreadable in the Saturn.

Not sure what you mean by frequency in regards to why a saturn can't read burnt audio. Do you mean sample rate?

I always pre converted my files to .wav first before burning. Otherwise I'd find Nero or whatever I used would convert them to some strange format that doesn't work or just ignore them completely.

I always used CDEX since it could convert MP3 files back into wav files. Obviously they wouldn't be the same quality as the wav originals but it was good enough for Saturn games.

There's a bunch of bad rips of Panzer Dragoon Saga floating around. The one I got that worked perfect came with some kind of md5 or other checksum so you could check each image file. I don't think it was BIN/CUE either. Look around I'm sure you can find it.
