Re: need a good game collection database
I recently compared several, and ultimately chose rfgeneration.com
It's easy to use and works great.

True. It's the only other VG forum I bother with.

I just started using Backloggery
before that I was using IGN.com
They TRY and estimate the value of your collection but overestimate extremely.

Re: need a good game collection database
A buddy and I are working on a comprehensive game collector site. We're still in early alpha, but it's very promising. We're hopefully going to have a mix of social networking (friends etc.) and a powerful cataloging back end with spreadsheet import (so you don't have to re-enter tons of games in your collection by hand).
There are a few other killer features that I am not able to discuss, but it's going to be pretty cool if we can find the time to get more work into it.
Tentative release is late fall 2009, but will more than likely spill into late 2009, and maybe even 2010.
Either way, feel free to give us suggestions as to what you'd like to see in a video game collection site.
http://www.pixelarcadia.com/ (nothing much to see there at moment)
