so i have been collecting some of my favourite snes games for awhile.. but now im also getting interested in the other nintedo systems..now that im getting a steady income i can start this new hobby of mine.

my first question is what is considered cib? does it only need the game the manual and the box? or does it have to have all the ads and so on that came in the bow when it was new?

im from the pal area but i have us snes and planning on getting us consoles in the future.. the problem is ebay is almost my only chace to find any games.. is there any other auction sites around that i could check out?

well these popped on my mind first.. i will add more questions if something comes to my mind..

I think alot of people will consider game, box and manual to be complete though.

yeah that what i think also but there are many auctions that say complete and there are no ads.. dont most of nintendos games have ads in the boxes?

NES and SNES games did, I dont know about the others.

I believe Gameboys did as well, but that might have just been the system itself

Usually I consider CIB to be game, manual and box. To be honest, most people don't remember exactly came with the game otherwise, unless it was a special edition. Sometimes they also change what ads were put in the games, depending on how long of a production run it had.

I have been lucky by finding many people who send out games CIB also have some bonus fold out pamphlet and stickers (Sonic Jam for the Saturn) that I knew existed but had no idea it came in the game.

I guess in the end, it is an added bonus to find someone who has a listing and also will list that it contains such and such extra, like original stickers, etc.

As far as a site that has NTSC games, other than ebay I usually browse the guy/sell/trade forums on this website and usually find some stellar offers!

I consider CIB box/game/manual for most games. Some games had specific inserts, like the map for LoZ, and for those games I would need that to be complete. As mentioned, if there are other inserts, such as advertising or a poster, they are a bonus.

There are two websites that I've discovered for buying games/consoles. One is, of course, Racketboy. The other is Cheap Ass Gamer.

Yeah, the map suppliments are generally understood to be part of a "complete" copy of something, but the random ads usually aren't. That said, in Japan they tend to keep the ads and registration cards in their boxes. I picked up several SFC CIB games that had everything inside. Each one had at minimum manual, but the majority had everything you could imagine.
