Hello everyone of the RacketBoy forums, I never thought I would ever say this, but I am thinking about getting a Wii. Now, I there are so many cheaply made games for it, but is there games thats worth purchasing. I know I am planning on getting games like MadWorld, Punch-Out, WarioWare ect. is there other games that I should check out, or games that I should look out for.
Thanks.

Honestly didn't care for MadWorld, way too repetitive...
I've gotta crap ton of Wii games I need to sell off since I've sold the system. The only games on the Wii I actually managed to finish (and then some) was Smash Bros Brawl, Metal Slug Anthology, and Wario Ware Smooth Moves - All the rest of my collection, including Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Umbrella, Mario Kart Wii, and quite a few others I just couldn't get in to.
Also, I would say you should get Metroid Prime 3, but the Metroid Trilogy will be coming out soon so just wait for that. If I still had a Wii, I'd be looking forward to Punch Out, and the only reason I held on to my Wii for so long after I was finished with it was the hope Tatsunoko vs Capcom would come to the states - A hope I eventually abandoned, but was finally confirmed less than a week after I sold the Wii... so, yeah, get in on that shit if you like 2D fighters at all. If you don't already have Klonoa on the PSX, then get the Wii re-release.

Re: Planning On Getting A Wii - What Game Should I Get?
Thats another game I am planning on getting since I missed it when it first came out on PSX, because of me on my pre-teens I think anything cute is "gay", I would most likley getting a Wii version because I would not afford the PSX version. Also, speaking of missing games first time around, I think of getting that Broken Sword, it was a game I have been planned on getting since I first herd it back in the day, but we did not have a computer powerful enough to run it.the7k wrote:If you don't already have Klonoa on the PSX, then get the Wii re-release.
Also, as a habit as a collector, I tend to buy exclusive games and avoid most of the ports otherwise in some way that port is superior to the console that originally came out. I know the Wii is notorious for Shovelware titles, so yeah try to avoid stuff like that.

House of the Dead: Overkill
House of the Dead 2 & 3
Ghost Squad
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
Fragile was recently announced that it's coming over here. And there are some horror games that are starting to appear, so if you like those we should be seeing some more on them soon.

Super Paper Mario is fun. If you haven't played it yet I'd say RE4 on the Wii is the superior version. You can't go wrong with Mario Kart, and No More Heroes is really enjoyable.

Wario Land Shake It is fantastic and relatively inexpensive

Don't buy a Wii, simple as that.
I am just kidding. But you really have to know what you are getting yourself into and what type of games are there.
Do not think you are going to use motion control much, and even when the time comes to use it it would be just a silly shaking the wii-mote thing.
I have to say a ps3 or 360 is really a better option unless you like Wii games specifically .
I think you can't skip on No More Heroes, and other obvious stuff like zelda and mario galaxy.
I have to say that both Red Steel and WarioWare are very unique experiences.
Red Steel might be a bad game control wise and graphics, but expect to play a damn bad game and you will be impressed like me. Shooting and sword fighting is something fun.
WarioWare can get a bit repetitive but unique.
Quality games on the Wii are really limited because 80% of is shovel ware so you can't go wrong really.

Yeah, I sold my Wii because I was disappointed with the direction it has taken. However, I did buy my Wii at launch - I had no idea what I was getting myself into. If someone buys a Wii at this point, they should know very well what is out there.kingmohd84 wrote:Don't buy a Wii, simple as that.

House of the Dead: Overkill
House of the Dead II & 3: Return
No More Heroes
Rune Factory Frontier
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3
Call of Duty: World at War
Medal of Honor Heroes 2
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Super Mario Galaxy
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
Super Paper Mario
The games below are not out yet.
Monster Hunter 3 (tri-)
Trace Memory R: Gateway of Memory
Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
Kizuna
Cursed Mountain
Overlord: Dark Legend
Metroid Prime Trilogy
The Conduit
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings

Also it is strongly rumored that Capcom will be remaking every earlier Resident Evil game with RE4 controls and camera view. Whether this is true or not (Probably not though) will be revealed as time goes on. If true though, you should look out for those.
