RIP Planet Dreamcast?

Post by Original_Name »

Going to www.planetdreamcast.com now directs one to a blank page at RPGPlanet. I hope this isn't permanent, they had a fantastic and trustworthy database for reviews. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Wow -- they are/were a great site
Guess I'll have to go scrape their stuff off the Waybackmachine...

I guess it was a matter of time, but it still sucks. I still liked to check the site out every once in a while to read over reviews of games I haven't played yet.

That's odd. I would think if it were permanent, they would remove the link to Planet Dreamcast on their page, but it's still there under Classic/Console.

The forums are still up oddly enough. We're all pretty sad over there to see the main site die, hopefully the forums will live for a little longer. http://forums.gamespy.com/Indices/Board ... tdreamcast

Actually, I read through it a little. Looks like whatever is happening there is also happening with Planetnintendo, Planetxbox, and Planetps2. So maybe they're dropping everything of the previous generation now?
