Yeah that's what I thought when I saw the video last night. Kind of a lame AVGN video I thought.. I was pretty drunk when I watched it though so my opinion on the matter is invalid for now.

that was pretty good. felt like he wasn't using swear words as a crutch for once.

i think i prefer zero punctuation but i'll take AVGN as a close second.

His "poop humour" really annoys me for some reason.

I like Zero Punctuation the best but I like AVGN's old stuff.

I enjoyed the video well enough. I like his humor, but swear words and poop jokes are really unnecessary. He could have done without it.

I'm sure he's well aware of the immaturity, but it gets him hits, and this shit is kind of his job anymore.

Exactly. If he didnt do it, he would lose views, and lose his paycheck.

yeah- i can't say i am on board with the caliber of the literary discourse. However, when you get through it the reviews are enjoyable and i've dodged a couple bullets thanks to him.

The odyssey is something, for example that i was thinking of picking up, but after this video i think i'll pass on it. I might pick one up eventually when i have room to store/display a collection. For now however, i can tell that this is only a conversation piece and not really something i would ever actually play. Still though... look at those controller cables! That machine is begging to be made steampunk.

I did just pick up the odyssey 2 though after reading a little about it and watching some videos online after the 101. I picked up that and a handful of games. The Quest For The Rings!!! the epic boardgame, Speedway/Spin-Out/Crypto-Logic combo game, Cosmic Conflict, Invaders From Hyperspace, Las Vegas Blackjack. I'm going to try to pick up killer bees and smithereens eventually. Apparently those are the odyssey 2's killer apps. Looking forward to getting those in the mail soon.

I knew he would eventually do an Odyssey episode.. It's just ironic that it was so soon after the article about Odyssey on racketboy went up.. I also think Zero Punctuation rocks.. 8)
