anyone know of any links to arcade footage from the 80's? I looked all over YouTube but couldnt find anything. I just need shots of kids playing arcade games. or 80's game competitions.

You might want to check "Chasing Ghost: Beyond The arcade". It showed some old clips from the 80's and I think it had a clip of a videogame competition in Twin Galaxies.

also the movies: Fist full of Quarters has some footage and Wizard, and even Terminator 2!
