buying collectable used games...where ?

Post by nate »

aside from ebay, and here obviously.
are there any online 'stores' you guys use ?
been looking for MGS3 Subsistence limited edition. seen 2 of them close at $80ish and several pull in $200ish.

found one less on amazon. never bought off amazon before. called all known used game/record/ type stores locally (which isn't much)

searching on google I found this...
http://www.gamedealdaily.com/store/prod ... roduct=706

I wrote them twice and no replies.. :?

and while were at it...there are some old games out there that are quite expensive (if the seller knows what their selling)
so how much have some of you spent to get that special must have game ?

do you care about having the original game or do you just find it for download and emulate it on PC ?
Ocelot, did it again...sorry Boss !

Ive bought a couple of game at gamestop that I know I could have found better deals if I would have waited.........but sometimes I just want to play the damn game lol.

I used to be pretty serious about my collection, but for a year now or so ive pretty much gone to emulation only. I just got tired of have some many consoles in my tiny house where I have no game room, plus nowadays id rather spend my money elsewhere. Of course I keep the GC and DC out since emulation isnt too good on those, but Im sure they will catch up someday

my best place to find good deals is craigslist.com lots of the time ppl are selling things quickly or they just dont know what kind of gaming gold they have. usually you will have to buy many games or systems with games to get what you want but if you are smart you will make it worth it. also its local so you save on shipping costs. the only thing to be aware of is being safe when you make a deal and meet up with someone. always meet somewhere in public, daytime, and a place with heavy traffic. don't invite someone to your house or go to their house.

yeah...craigs list is good for some stuff but not in my area at the moment.

I spose I got tired of looking and I'd prefer the actual item, so I took the amazon deal.
