finally got around to seeing this movie. I bought it a few weeks ago.

Had seen it many years ago as a teen.

Its a decent movie. Its got its fun action scenes. Lots of stuff that makes the bad-ass Snake Plisskin a legend.

Its got some Old CGI that may have looked cool back then, but now we can see early tech and its shortcommings. Not that theres anything wrong with that.

Sure its got some cheesy wtf stuff in it. But I guess that can be expected when we're dealing with John Carpenter Films.

what I did like was the ending.

It cements the character of Snake Plissken.

His 'fuckitall' attitude towards the world is what make him bad-ass.

It was awesome back then and now still cool to see.

7 out of 10

I went through a weird phase where I hailed Escape From L.A. even higher than the original. Luckily, I came to my senses and realized that Escape From N.Y. was a far better film. The sequel is a lot like the first film, but way cornier - it's a wild flick.

Anyone else watch the full trailers for The Lone Ranger or Oblivion?

The Lone Ranger looks a little too Wild Wild West for me, and I already smell franchise, but it could equally turn out to be something great. The horse up a tree gag does have me worried though.

Oblivion looks like a bunch of cgi barf. Nice to see Hollywood is still on a blowing up football stadiums kick.

I did laugh out loud during the Oblivion trailer as it reminded me of the episode of South Park where "Morgan Freeman comes in half way in the movie to explain what is going on".

I saw a trailer for a movie called After Earth with Will Smiff and his annoying son. And its by Shamalamalongdong.

Trailer looks interesting, but that's about it.

I've watched every Will Smith movie except for Ali, and although a lot of them are far from stellar, he always gives it his best. His kids on the other hand are obnoxious to a T.

You've never seen ALI? Odd coming from you. Not that I would bother, I thought it was quite boring.
