I'm replaying Chrono Trigger and I just got to the Mountain of Woe.

Man, the nostalgia hit hard when I heard Corridors of Time again. I felt like I had gone back to 1995 when I was playing this and Yoshi's Island. :(

This youtube comment nails it right on the head:

"I've never played this game in my life, never had heard of it. (I KNOW THAT'S REALLY SAD). I'm planning to play it for the first time this summer vacations because I'm very busy with school. But by just listening at the music, I know this is one of those games that made your childhood, that gave those days meaning, that has now a reserved place in your heart, that when you listen to it as a grown up you tear up from nostalgia, that you overflow with emotion and feelings. Am I right?"

I'm playing through Double Dragon Neon on Dragon difficulty. This game keeps growing on me more and more. It's not one of the best beat 'em ups I've played, but it's strangely addicting and I can't get enough of its humor. The game is just stupid fun

Not so much a "what are you" today, but more like a "what I have" (no thread for that, right?)

Anyway, I did these today, a Satur-play if you will

I started with Taito Legends (PC)

Continental Circus
Image
Gladiator
Image
Great Swordsman
Image
Operation Wolf (completed a loop on a credit)
Image
Then went to the GameCube and did Midway Arcade Treasures 2. After getting my ass kicked on Cyberball and finding out Wizard of Wor does NOT play like the arcade original (more like some kinda speed hack), I saw that Total Carnage was there. I forgot how LONG that game is (as well as the reading required!)
Image
Finished off with some Medal of Honor Rising Sun. Completed the Singapore level, completed the 2 bonus objectives, was fairly accurate & didn't take much hits, STILL NO FREAKING MEDAL.

There you have it, my Satur-play!

Trying to play some Borderlands with Mozgus but getting it working on PC is a PITA. Fuck you Gamespy!

May end up just playing FTL.

Almost done with PGR3. Very well done racing game but Nürburgring is absolutely annoying. The control in the game just isn't precise enough for it. The games built for flashy drifts on four lane roads, not narrow twisty roads that require tons of precision.

I was playing seaman, it's slow.
Do you have to press a too talk? I don't have the mic manual.
And I killed all of the seaman 2 times in a day...

Hmmm. A mish-mash of stuff lately.

Sat/J - X-Men vs. SF
DC - Tokyo Xtreme Racer
DC/J - Super SF ll X For Matching Service
N64 - WCW vs. NWO Revenge
Wii - Gradius ReBirth
360 - Raiden lV

I think that's it for now.

What was the problem? I never had any complications.

Connecting to Gamespy. Connecting to eachother. Getting controllers to work properly. Getting the FOV mod to work (motion sickness :( ), tons of lag despite good connections. It just wasn't a good experience. I was considering getting the 360 version considering it took us about an hour to get it working.

Yeah... I wouldn't waste too much time with that one. But that's just me, ha.

Professor Layton & The Curious Village. I'm finding most of the puzzles really easy but there are a couple that either are worded badly or just plain old trick questions. I'm still not sure if I like it, it seems to be old puzzles your grandad would tell you, intertwined with a strange mystery. I like the characters and the use of the touch screen but it doesn't really feel like I'm playing a videogame. If that makes sense? Are the sequels any better or the same with more puzzles?
