This I don't understand. I know that with the iPod, you don't have an AC adapter but you do get a USB adapter.

I can understand them not supplying the charging cradle since most people don't use it but no ac adapter?

It will have an AC Adapter included in the US, but not in JPN.

Well the thing seems to be big enough to fit a solar panel on it, so maybe it will recharge that way there?

Anyway I REALLY like the new design. FFS Nintendo this is the way to do it. This looks like a real different machine. The 3DS's original design just seemed like a minor hardware upgrade again.

This should fly off the selves. I know I want one...bad.

I'll wait for a nice color though. The white one is very nice but I want to get it in cobalt blue if possible :D

It's just an increase in size, which does seem like a fairly minor revision to me. It seems to me that DSi:DSi XL::3DS:3DS XL.

But why is it excluded for Japan? Is that standard practice over there?

I'm talking about the design mate.

I mean these 2

Seem to belong in the same hardware "family". But this:

looks like it's its own thing. The curves give it a different aesthetic than the DS Lite - Xl - 3DS, which all had the same basic design. (square thing)

The DSi XL has sort of rounded corners compared to the regular DS, and I don't know that I see the corners on the 3DS XL being much rounder based on the pictures so far. If there is a difference it is slight.

Battery life isn't doubled at all. An extra 30 min - 1 1/2 hours.

No second circle pad either. And no white model in the US.

All that said, I may still buy it if I get interested in the 3DS again. I have wanted a XL model. But I still haven't been able to sell my regular 3DS.

I'd bet Gamestop will have a decent trade in program...
