I've actually been playing Kid Icarus all day, and I am enjoying it a lot. It took me a bit to get the hang of things, and even then the game is damn tough, but its fantastic.mjmjr25 wrote:dunpeal2064 wrote:Went to meet someone from Craigslist to pick up Bucky O'Hare, Darkwing Duck, Final Fantasy, Kid Icarus, and 1942 for a total of $40. When I met up with him and looked through his games, only Kid Icarus and 1942 were there! He said he must have sold them to someone else. I ended up taking the 2 games for $10, so it wasn't a total waste of time, but I really only met up with him for Bucky, so I was pretty peeved.
Kid Icarus is still my favorite NES game. Holds up very well, great game.
Find a copy of Wizards and Warriors ($2) and Rush n' Attack ($2) and yr set. By far my 3 favorite games on that console.
I actually have Wizards and Warriors, but haven't played it yet. I'll give it a try tonight! Rush n'n Attack is definitely on my to-get list.
So, I guess its cool that I at leas snagged Kid Icarus for $5. 1942, on the other hand, was pretty disappointing.

X-RGB seems to be sitting in limbo somewhere. No tracking updates the past few days...

Kid Icarus, takes a bit to get the hang of some cross-screen jump techniques, and the first maze / boss stage is a nice precursor to the later maze / boss stages...which get considerably harder.
I spent hours getting turned into an eggplant-->healed-->navigate back--->eggplant OVER and OVER, those guys are pains.
Rush n' Attack is super tough after the first 2 stages, but is really a fun game if you have a good co-op partner.
Wizards and Warriors - great music, often annoying when low on health, but still great. There are some jumps iirc that are just brutal to time.

Frown: It's going to rain all day today, so unless the weather miraculously changes I'll have to cancel my Steven Seagal HARD TO GRILL extravaganza. Makes me so mad I could:

I'll be at the University of Washington Medical Center.
I'll be working in rehabilitation psychology and behavioral medicine, so I'll be helping people that have been through some major accident or medical condition that has lead to brain damage, spinal cord injury, or severe acute or chronic pain. I'll be working with a team of physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, and occupational counselors to help patients through the rehab process in the short term, and to adjust to having a disability in the long term. Psychology's role is to keep them motivated through the rehabilitation process, to help them adapt healthy lifestyle behaviors, and to cope with the struggles of a newly acquired disability and any increased physical and emotional pain.

Huge Smile: Arcade Craft. This game is crazy addictive. The best part is seeing the avatar of other Racket folk show up to play. I just kicked Sevin0seven's ass out for roughing up a machine.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
