Skyrim sucks anyways. :P

(okay I don't hate it but Fallout New Vegas destroys everything Bethesda attempted).

If we're comparing things a bit here though, yeah... I guess some of you guys are mixed but this is already looking like another intense year for the PS4. In Q1 alone, I'm already stoked for Yakuza 0, Nier Automata, Nioh, and whenever that Persona 5 drops I might finally cave and try the series out. That's only scratching the surface and I already predict Nier and Nioh will be S rank games in my book. Oh yeah Mass Effect Andromeda. Etc.

Like I said I'm probably set on Zelda for the U... and Mario looks epic and might be the seller for me. But until then, the PS4 releases this year already looks pretty dense and could probably easily keep me busy while I wait on the Switch.

The Wii U version of Breath of the Wild is coming out the same day. Now, they might have stopped bothering trying to optimize it or something, as they're clearing banking on the Switch version to sell the console...but at least it's getting released.

I have far more Wii U games than Xbox One games, and a comparable number to what I have on PS4. I generally opt for PC versions of things too though, which accounts for a fair bit of that.
Taken as a whole though, there are a lot more games I'm interested in that don't tend to make it to Nintendo consoles than ones that do. Just the couple months surrounding the Switch release hold more PC/PS4 releases I'm interested in than everything they've announced for the Switch so far.

Basically what I was getting at.

Very humorous how Horizon Zero Dawn looks like Sony's Zelda right now. I'm... interested in that one, but Guerrilla are hardly known for compelling worlds or story. I'll probably wait on it but it does look solid.

While I agree, but that was true of the PS4 aswell. Actually when was the last truly stunning launch lineup? Dreamcast? GBA?

got my preorders in for the red/blue, and a master sword edition zelda! broke AF but hoping bomberman is a budget title. also, bomberman game at launch, how cool is that?

No More Heroes 3 was my big surprise of the night, finding out Suda's directing again (finally) was icing on the cake.

I think the Gamecube line up was very possibly the best in recent memory. Luigi's Mansion, Rogue Squadron 2, Super Monkey Ball, Wave Race Blue Storm - that's 4 pretty great games all at launch, and that;s ignoring a couple of good multiplatform games in Crazy Taxi and Tony Hawk's 3 too!

I preordered a Switch and Zelda. I was going to order a pro controller too, but until a multiplayer worthy game comes along I can hold off on that.

The early game lineup on Switch is pretty weak, but I'll find stuff to play and I know there's gonna be enough stuff coming out just from Nintendo to justify the system to myself.

I really hope there's some good support elsewhere though, I don't want to see Nintendo continue to struggle.

Same. It's £60, so I think I'll wait until the price drops or more hardcore/multiplatform games come out.

Does anyone else from the UK remember when controllers were only £20...? Sigh.

Yeah it's disgusting controllers are more expensive than a new retail game.

Luigi's Mansion is only treated well in hindsight, though. People ripped it to shreds because it was too short and not a true Mario game.

DC was the GOAT launch but given that we have worldwide release dates now, that's just not gonna happen again

damn, when you put it like that - yeah, looking back that was pretty good. i was super happy with Luigi's Mansion, a friend brought Monkey Ball by and i loved that as well.

oh yeah, this cannot be said enough - game got shat on & called a "tech demo" right and left at the time, i'd get laughed at for praising it online back then. really glad people came round for part 2 & the GC in general but much of the love that system now sees wasn't there at the time.
