I gave my NGPC to Mjmjr25 a few years ago, I kind of miss it but there are just not enough games to keep me interested. Really neat mod makes me wish I had one again.

It's my favorite handheld by some way...which is strange as I only picked it up originally as I was a big Dreamcast collector and it had a few games that linked up to that console.ninjainspandex wrote:I gave my NGPC to Mjmjr25 a few years ago, I kind of miss it but there are just not enough games to keep me interested. At that time I only owned a handful of games and didn't play it much. In recent years I've discovered a joy in collecting for its finite library...but at the same time I've come to understand just how high the quality to crap ratio is in that library.
So many of its games go the extra mile to include all kinds of secrets and collectibles that add to the replay, it kind of reflects badly on how lazy developers have become in an age where it's all about trophies and achievement messages.
I think I could spend the next five years playing Match of the Millenium on this and still not come close to 100%ing the game, it's so packed with stuff to do outside of the core game.
One day I'm sure someone will find a way to make a properly backlit clone. On that day I will be reaching for my credit card and telling them to give me a number...
Re: Let's talk about your NEO GEO collecting + PRICE GUIDES
In the last few days I've picked up the cart of Puyo Pop and a boxed and complete version of the very hard to find Neo Baccarat for my NGPC.
I'm close to a complete collection of NGPC games now, only three more to find:
Cool Borders Pocket
Evolution – Eternal Dungeons
Shanghai Mini
Shanghai Mini will likely be the hardest as the others do pop up from time to time on ebay, although at high prices...

Does anyone make an in-1 cart for the AES?

Technically there was one made. It retailed for $750 iirc and was gobbled up at that price. If you can find one for sale secondhand, it's going to run you far more than that. Best bet is an MVS multi and a converter. Or to abandon the AES altogether.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

Re: Let's talk about your NEO GEO collecting + PRICE GUIDES
I balked at those prices until I realized they were for complete games.
