switch the last 2 and we're on the same page, though now I can't see playing the original Halo given how awesome Anniversary was.Stark wrote:I'd say that Halo 3 is the stinker and ODST wasn't half bad. So the game I just beat is Halo 3: ODST, which was good but not great. Kinda muddy looking, very cliche characters and dialouge. The gameplay itself was solid, and the music was too (but this is Halo, the music is always good) but it was short, even by Halo standards. As ODST is essentially a spin-off, the story is quite unessential to the Halo series; however, it's still nice to see what was going on while we were running around as Master Chief.
Reach > Halo 2 > Halo > ODST > Halo 3 IMO

I was only mildly interested in Anniversary until I picked up Halo 4 and started playing it. Holy crap is that game awesome. Really spiked my interest in picking up Anniversary and seeing what 343 did with it.dsheinem wrote:Switch the last 2 and we're on the same page, though now I can't see playing the original Halo given how awesome Anniversary was.

Angry Birds: Star Wars is a lot of fun, and a good reason to revisit the AB franchise (which I hadn't done since the original).
I took advantage of the PSN sale to grab a few Sega games for cheap that I'd been curious about. After Burner is great, fast arcade action. Sonic 4.1 is surprisingly decent, though it isn't near as good as Sonic Generations or what I recall from the demo of Sonic 4.2 (which I plan to play this weekend). I'd hope that we will be able to look back at Sonic Colors/Sonic 4/Sonic Generations as the seeds of a real revival for the franchise, as all of them are light years better than anything from the previous 10-15 years.
I'd like to end the year between 75-80 games, so that's a lot to work in between now and the end of the years. With a little luck, I think it's doable!

Well the mayor complain i heard about this game was "the foot sections are stupid and boring and the controls are awful" well the controls take a time to get used too but you can change the control configuration so you can move the camera with the C-stick on the foot missions though i hate shooting with the R button it could use a better button configuration.
I really liked how they mixed up all the things in some missions, what i mean is that you start on foot and if you want can get in the landmaster and the last portion of the game is on the arwing (or you can get in the arwing in the beginning of the mission and blow all the enemies on the land).
There's A LOT of on foot missions so if you don't like how the game controls you won't like the game at all, but if you're like me and can get used to the control you will enjoy it (it take like 10 or 20 minutes to do that)

Torgue's campaign isn't as long or as fun as Captain Scarlett's, but the writing is very funny and the last boss is awesome. More fun BL2, so no complaints from me
Playing through Street Fighter Alpha: Warrior's Dreams was a chance to get another longbox game finished and under my belt , and I'll probably be playing more than a couple of retro games to wrap up the year from systems/collections that I've neglected. One thing this yearly list usually motivates me to do is to spend my time across multiple systems, and I see some glaring holes up there!

Crash Team Racing for PS1, 100% completed.
I spent hours upon hours playing this with my roommate in college, and it is still as much fun as it used to be. The music is great, the graphics hold up, and it's just nonstop fun fun fun.
Going to play Crash Nitro Kart on the PS2, but I have a feeling I'll still prefer CTR.
