Wow, one of our support managers at work suddenly left. Or got fired? Nobody really knows, all management would say is that he "no longer works for the company."

I kinda liked the guy. He made me mad sometimes, but yeah. Why couldn't it have be the other support manager instead? That other guy is a real weasel.

I heard from someone who heard from someone who asked one of the managers directly and they said that this guy "quit on his own." Considering just yesterday he was talking about how he didn't understand why someone would quit just before Christmas, I find that kinda suspect.

I imagine if he did quit, it was a "quit or be fired" thing. Whatever happened, I imagine it's not something that makes the rest of the management team look very good, hence them wanting to be so hush hush about it.

Guy was two years away from retirement. Seems like he got screwed over pretty bad.

I know we have folks here with management experience, maybe someone could provide some insight?

I don't have that much management experience, and nothing at the level I think you're describing, but this right here sounds way off, and the guy really did get screwed. I think I would be talking to my lawyer if that happened to me.

Does anybody else listen to music while playing video games?

As much as I love video game music, it takes very little time for it to start grinding on my ears when I hear the same song for two hours straight, or have to listen to overproduced orchestral sounds for the whole damned game.

Maybe he deserved it and you don't know. We just fired my CEO and VP and all I can say is thank god!!!! A lawyer may not do any good in this day and age most job don't need a reason to fire you, it is in the contract you sign when you are hired.
