From what I gathered based on that Forbes article, yes.

Even comparing Microsoft DRM with online passes seems like an exaggeration.

I didn't like this either. It was only done with the first party and only the multiplayer portion of the game. Still, with Microsoft doing it is overkill.

A great nod to Microsoft and their work with the Kinect......I think?

So I am 1 hour into Xbox1's conference , and I just do not know why its getting so much hate. To be honest, their games seem more different and exclusive like KI(we havent seen this one since N64?) and project Spark which seems amazing and Ryse. Dead Rising 3 was also called to be exclusive and this holiday, though I am not sure its exclusive to X1 or exclusive to X1 only this holiday and by Spring it will be on every console out there.

Also the numbers are scary(for Microsofot) there are something like 900k people who watched the Sony conference on youtube while Microsoft's is somewhere around the 100k. If I was them I would be worried.

--------

I wonder if console manufacturers are embarrassed about stating stuff like :
- "The PS4 version is getting 1 hour extra of exclusive content"
- "the Xbox one version is going to get 1 exclusive character costume "
- "I am happy to announce game 'X' will be released first on Wii U , 1 week before competition"

really? thats not going to make me buy your console. Who cares about this stuff..

The hate isn't about the games.

What a silly thing to get upset about.

A promotion that includes a soft drink or popular snack? Heavens no!*

I also heard the controller only uses alkaline batteries and not carbon zinc batteries. To hell with Microsoft!

*snack and soda promotions are one of the best things ever. Those 7-11 movie collectible cups, actual Scooby snacks, Kung-fu Panda tofu (not that tofu is usually a snack), mother effing Ecto Cooler...
