Target sells a two-pack for the PC, which includes AC 1 and 2 for $10. You already own 2, but $10 for the original brand new is not a bad price.

You can't play the first after you play the second, it is so slow and painfully repetitive.

After getting a new 360 on Black Friday after not owning one since mine died two and a half years ago, I decided to first pick the Halo series back up from where I had left it: Halo 3 beaten, but no farther. So the game I just beat is Halo 3: ODST, which was good but not great. Kinda muddy looking, very cliche characters and dialouge. The gameplay itself was solid, and the music was too (but this is Halo, the music is always good) but it was short, even by Halo standards. As ODST is essentially a spin-off, the story is quite unessential to the Halo series; however, it's still nice to see what was going on while we were running around as Master Chief.

Yeah, a lot of people don't like the original so well. It was not unanimously loved upon release, IIRC.

ODST is pretty divisive, but I think it is the stinker of the series. Reach, on the other hand, is arguably the best game Bungie's ever made.

I can see why it's divisive. It's like Bungie wanted to see what it would be like to make a "regular" FPS instead of a Halo game. However, I consider Halo Wars to be the stinker of the series.

I haven't played/don't count Halo Wars

Halo Wars is the highest selling console RTS of all time, it was not made by Bungie and was never going to have the same reception as the other games in the series. But to be the highest selling game of a genre on a console is a decent feat. Most people consider it a 'side game' not really part of the Halo series.

That's only because there's no Mario RTS game.

It sold on the brand, really. A niche console genre + giant brand = best-selling console game in that genre. Look at Sonic Spinball, Pokemon Pinball, Metroid Prime Pinball, etc. for another example of this...

Beat Wario World last night. I was surprised, I thought for sure there would be more than 8 levels, but what can you expect from Treasure, who usually develops SHMUPS! It was still a fun game, just wish it had lasted longer.

I'd say that Halo 3 is the stinker and ODST wasn't half bad. I totally agree that Reach is Bungie's best game.

Reach > Halo 2 > Halo > ODST > Halo 3 IMO
