What single player FPS campaign are you playing?

I just started the Killzone campaign on PS2.

Nice. The first Killzone is a mostly-decent game, but it really, really pales in comparison to the excellence of every other game in the series. If you don't like it, don't be put off to the rest.

I know its a unpopular opinion but love the third one. It was one of the first games I got on the PS3. I especially liked the online. It was so unique compared to COD . Have you played the 2nd one?

Yup, I've played all of 'em (including the PSP/Vita titles). 3 is excellent.

The first game was hilarious, man it was way too much for the PS2's hardware or something. Probably one of the glitchiest (visually) games I ever played, I'll never forget seeing a drop ship or two emerging through the ground for some reason... just completely clipping through and then the polygons just exploded.

The new one looks really promising though. I'll consider getting the trilogy pack someday I think, but I didn't like the demo for 2 much because of the FOV. 3's seemed a bit off too, but it seemed better all around.

It didn't seem too bad. Granted I only play the first 2 missions. What do you mean by 'a bit off'? Whenever I've seen discussions about the Killzone franchise on Youtube/internet they always bag on the 3rd saying it's the crappiest one.

After about 3 attempts at playing the first Killzone on PS2, I had to skip it. I don't rate it at all.

I started Killzone 2 this morning and loving it so far, it is amazing how well the graphics hold up.

Killzone 1 has held up terribly. I remember liking it a lot when I first played it and I just can't anymore.

I wish the PSP game had gotten a PS2 release. Great game that I feel is hampered by being played on a tiny screen.

KZ2+3's cover system is awesome. More fps games could use a technique like that; it gets tiring to crouch and pop up more than necessary. Give us the option at least!
