^ that's the perfect TV for an Atari setup.

Grandparents had something very similar (almost identical) and we played the 2600 all day on that thing.

Can't believe you had to haggle - if you could move it, it should have been free.

That's an AWESOME TV for playing NES on! Growing up, I use to have a similar style TV. I kinda miss it. Would be nice to have something like that in the basement. Anyways, great score!

They wanted $20 initially.

Nice TV
Does the "Console" TV have other inputs besides RF? I can't tell from the blurry pic, but if the screen is sharp it might be worth modding for SVideo input. A great TV to compliment Retro Consoles!

My Dad's Console TV screen fried, but the sounds still worked with rumbling bass, better then the replacement LCD tinny sounds. Utilizing the audio only part of the aux input, it became the amplified speaker stand for the LCD. This is where older CRT sets such as yours shines, the huge cave inside to house a "speaker bass reflect" system.

Found Rocket Knight Adventures and Dynamite Headdy minty at a thrift store and got a sealed Penumbra Overture for $1. Not really a horror gamer, but worth a go for that price since JT and others keep talking about it. :)

Nice finds, I recently spent like 13 shipped for a mint Rocket Knight and I thought that was reasonable...

I actually got a complete Rocket Knight for $5.00 from what is generally a horrible ripoff retro store in my city. So sometimes you win at Gametraders, I guess.

Boxed Sonic 2 for Game Gear. Box and manual in great condition. Inside was a Sonic 1 cart. Not a problem since I already have loose Sonic 1 and 2 carts and I only bought it for the box. 2 euros.

CIB N64 Doom (PAL). Box badly beat up. 5 euros (haggled down from 7). Not a great deal but I still cheaper than Ebay with shipping.

Just to give an idea of how good a deal that was, loose copies of Salamander and Parodius alone are selling for 100$ each on Ebay. 100 yen is about 1.20$.
Wow that's great, I didn't even know the MSX used cartridges!

These posts about price haggling made me think about how my local retro game store haggles DOWN prices whenever I shop there.

For example, I recently got a 32X/Genesis bundle. It had no price, I say to the guy "I'll give you $30." He looks at me, looks at the system, looks back at me and says "How 'bout we make it $25."
