Seriously a great movie series. One of my favorite western series. What transfer were you watching? The one I have is quite clean, considering these aren't as popular as Eastwood movies or the Sabata series.OldSchool_Boy wrote:My Name is Nobody
Wish it was a better transfer that I was viewing but it was decent enough to enjoy the film.
What was the last movie you've seen?

Cool to see someone that enjoys Spaghetti Westerns. It was the North American release by Image Entertainment. Its a decent transfer but its still not as clean. I know there is a Region 2 Box Set with My Name is Nobody and Nobody is the Greatest but I don't understand German and ever since xploitedcinema.com shut down, I haven't really found a website to find imported films. Diabolikdvd is one but I never liked their layout of their site and they always seem to have items out of stock. Still haven't seen the Sabata series even though I've been meaning to get that boxset for the longest time.Forlorn Drifter wrote:Seriously a great movie series. One of my favorite western series. I love Spaghetti westerns.
I just looked at my Nobody DVD... I remembered it being slightly ghetto, but looking at it now, I'm pretty sure its an HD rip off of someones DVR... One I bought in a huge lot at a yard sale for $5. (The lot had a bunch of rare cartoons ripped from TV and the internet, so I don't care about the legal implications.)
Another Terence Hill spaghetti you should look into is They Call Me Trinity, and its sequels. Really good movies, and you can't help but love Bambino.

Yeah I've been meaning to see the Trinity movies and just found a dvd collection of the two films in widescreen on amazon. You ever see any of Sergio Corbucci's films? I've only seen Django and The Great Silence and they're great especially The Great Silence, probably the best non-Leone western.Forlorn Drifter wrote:I love Spaghetti westerns.

Seen Django, have not seen The Great Silence. I'll have to look into it.
I wish we could get more westerns nowadays. As of late, we have seen few, even fewer good ones. I liked the True Grit remake, and I'm hoping that Django unchained will come out well.
I want moar Martial Arts/Samurai/Western movies, damn it!

Westerns are period pieces now and its entertaining to see them every once in a while but a couple quality ones would be welcome. Ever seen this site? Shobary's Spaghetti Western. Cool site with reviews that could help you in choosing the quality westerns from the weaker ones.Forlorn Drifter wrote:Seen Django, have not seen The Great Silence. I'll have to look into it.

MADAGASCAR 3
Consider me more than pleasantly surprised. Didn't care much for the first two, but the third entry is clever, well written, and fun.

Really? I thought the first one was bunk. Spent money to watch it at the movies and was irritated that it stunk. We were loaned Madagascar 2 from a friend and thought it was hilarious. I kinda wanted to see the 3rd but wasnt sure.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
This film will leave you wanting a Madagascar 4. Probably the best animated movie of the year so far. Can't believe I'm about to type this, but it's better than any movie from Pixar this year.indecks wrote:I kinda wanted to see the 3rd but wasnt sure.

Well, to be fair, Brave was kinda flat.
