Halo 4 is shit, but it's still a decent time if you're playing co-op (which is the only way I managed to make it through the 8 hour rape of a beloved series' established lore).

As you can probably guess, I already owned the game, but I couldn't pass up a $5 copy of it. That's just how I'm wired.Exhuminator wrote:Sarge wrote:Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (PS2)
You've made a wise decision buying the greatest JRPG on PS2.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
Picked up a copy of Yakuza: Dead Souls today. It's a Yakuza game, which generally don't have huge print runs, but it was also a 4 dollar one, so it was definitley one I had to pick up (been searching for it for a while). Just watching the intro, there is some very gleefully Resident Evil-esque nonsense in this. Which is fantastic, because different takes on that kind of thing are always a romp (epecially when you have ex-yakuza bosses with robot-arms walkin' around XD). I'm not exactly sure if this is the best game to play first in the series, but I'm weighing my options on which PS3 game to start next. It's probably either that, Yakuza 1 HD, or EX Troopers.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
Not much being spent but I picked up four Amiibo (all on sale) and a couple of games that I've been wanting for a long time.
SNES
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars with instructions -
I way overtraded for this at $80 but I traded in some comics and sports cards I didn't want anymore and got a few other things plus cash so it was a good deal for me. This thing is mint.
Wii U
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD -
Target dropped the price on the original art copies to match the Nintendo Selects prices and my local store had one left. Score one for me since I couldn't find any used at Gamestops around me.
I also stopped at 1/2 Price Books and they had gotten some gaming magazines in, EGM 2 for $90 bring the gem which was too much for me even with 20% off, so I bought 10 old Nintendo Powers, without posters unfortunately, but I got them for $1.60 each and they're in great shape.

Re: Games Acquired 2016

rang up as $18 at my local target! GAF thread pointed the way, apparently they're dumping that one, Bayo 2 (solo version), Hyrule Warriors & NES Remix for the same price.

It took me some time to get there. You will someday as well. I'm nearing the end of my collecting so it's getting harder to find stuff I want. With a trip to WDW coming soon and a want to finish paying off my debt I've slowed down my spending considerably.ElkinFencer10 wrote:Sounds like something I would say in a parallel dimension.jmbarnes101 wrote:Not much being spent
Though at $18 I'm going to need to buy a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles so I can leave my collector's edition sealed.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
@Irish that's just odd. I thought the game would sell pretty well. I know I enjoyed it when I had time for it even if I've gone back to playing some older non-completed games. If mine's doing the same I need to grab some of those, no matter what it does to me right now :-\

After seeing that, I rushed out to my local target to see if they had any. They did, but it only wrang up at the listed price of 30 bucks. If you're good to pay that for Xenoblade X (as I was, as I didn't have it yet and didn't wanna waste the trip), it's not quite 40 bucks off, but it's still a good deal.darsparx wrote:@Irish that's just odd. On a related note, the new Kirby amiibos are on sale for 6.50 as well at Target, for those interested. Ryu amiibos are only 4 bucks a piece new!
