Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Before I begin, I see we had quite a healthy Game Genie conversation. I remember *renting* the NES GG from Blockbuster. I also have the SNES GG, which came in handy for Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Remember the subscription books you had to pay to have sent to you (BEFORE THE INTERNET, KIDS?)
Out of all of the WWII ones I've been playing, I've been having a lot of fun with Call of Duty 2 on the Gamecube. Someone else was playing this a while back too (Fox?) and also enjoyed it. The missions are long and hard, sometimes frustrating, and the checkpoints may seem unfair, but the story and the scenarios I am *really* getting into. Add to that the writing, and voice work from most of the Band of Brothers cast and I can really feel all that is going on.
Also, I found that Splinter Cell supports the GBA and that GC-GBA cable. It adds more OPSAT info, a detailed map on the GBA screen, and it lets you access and control a special in-game item that is only available with a GBA (!) I will have to get one of those cables fast.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
This whole The War Z thing is both unfathomably stupid and hilarious. I don't think I've seen a game company and developer with such a lack of professionalism.
I feel incredibly sorry for anybody that bought that piece of shit.
Have a hilariously bad interview:

Man... I haven't been to Gamespy in forever. Looks like nothing's really changed over there, except that they no longer have their own forums.
And that's probably the worst interview I've ever read.

In my mind I read all of the parts from the WarZ developer in the voice of Roman from GTA-IV. He seems a bit more loveable that way. Obnoxious still, certainly, but a bit more loveable.

The executive producer of WarZ, Sergey Titov, was also the producer and head programmer of this gem of a game.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:This whole The War Z thing is both unfathomably stupid and hilarious. I don't think I've seen a game company and developer with such a lack of professionalism.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Well that explains things. Why did anyone think he should be given money to produce another game after creating what is considered by some to be the single worst game of all time? It makes absolutely no sense.YoshiEgg25 wrote:The executive producer of WarZ, Sergey Titov, was also the producer and head programmer of this gem of a game.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:This whole The War Z thing is both unfathomably stupid and hilarious.
