Well, the Vita has a pretty nice d-pad. Wouldn't mind a little Code of Princess on the Vita. :P

Doh! Of course.

I blame Sony for giving all their consoles such similar names.

I picked up a vita yesterday with gravity rush, uncharted, and persona 4. I like the console pretty well, but anyone who says that games are bountiful on this thing are fooling themselves. I mean I suppose they are, if you count all the console ports to it. I already own zero escape on a 3DS.
I have to say, if Sony doesn't drop the price on this, it's going to fade away. It seems with the introduction of smart phones, it's hard to sell a portable for over 200$. I like the console, but I'm worried for it. Does anyone have any game recommendations? Don't say resistance because I'm pretty sure it's mediocre as hell.

dsheinem will probably have lots of recommendations

It sounds like you're not interested in cross buy titles. Otherwise, I would have recommended Sly Thieves in Time

Well I already ordered a ps3 copy of the game. If there is a console version of a game, I'd rather play it on the console. I am really excited for y's though!

So then you don't like all the ports on the 3DS either, right? I mean, a majority of the best 3DS games are also ports or lesser versions of console games.

I've said it before, and clearly I am in the minority, but the Vita has A LOT more games that I enjoy than the 3DS. And PS+ makes it even more worth it.

Don't really have allot of ports for the 3DS I have Super mario 3d land, zero escape, Fire emblem, Mario kart 7, Kid Icarus, RE revelations, and Ocarina of time. I'm not even going to try to compare the quality of the consoles. Needless to say, something does need to change with the PS Vita. Not everyone needs to have the newest gaming swag like my i suppose. I'm hoping that the vita will be the same haven for JRPG's that the PSP was. I bought ocarina of time for the same reason that i bought Persona 4 golden. I enjoyed both games so much that i bought the newer ports.

Well, there are JP companies releasing newer games for Vita (check the listing with some Asian goods site), a new Phantasy Star Online is expect to come out, will it match up the massive popularity of Monster Hunter for the PSP, I don't think so... Will it come over to the US? SEGA hasn't official announce it yet.

But Muramasa and Soul Sacrifice are coming to the US later this year, those two should be solid games to keep you busy.

About half of those are ports or sequels to console games. Sounds much like the Vita. And Zero Escape is available on the Vita. Though I hear it was designed for the 3DS and controls better on there.

Only thing making me want to get another 3DS eventually is Pokemon. Only reason.

Definitely getting Muramasa. Much more likely to play it on the Vita. Never finished it on the Wii. Soul Sacrifice is maybe.

Started replaying Project DIVA f. All the trophies I got from it, Disgaea 3, BlazBlue, Lumines, etc were never synced to the server. lol. So I am going to replay some of them for trophies. And because they are great games. I need to finish all the DJMAX Technika Tune challenges too. I love the touch screen gameplay compared to the older ones on the PSP that are like Beatmania.

Seems to me Ocarina port vs. Persona 4 port is an unfair comparison as it seems that P4 did a lot more to jazz up the port than Ocarina.

I honestly think that Sony won't have to do a lot to get this system off the ground. It's only been out a year (3DS 2 now) and IMO has a stronger library. Here's a couple you could get to round out your system:
-Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs
-Dokuro
-Sumioni: Demon Arts
-Escape Plan
-Little Deviants
-Silent Hill
-Lumines
-Hot Shots Golf
-Resistance: Retribution

Then there are ports that will be awesome to have on a handheld:
-Stranger's Wrath
-Pinball Arcade
-Retro City Rampage
-Rayman Origins

The list goes on.
