Yes, the East African/Middle Eastern slave trade is astounding in scope and longevity, considering it's been running now for over a millennium.

What we call human trafficking in Europe mostly involves getting illegal immigrants into Europe. Since there is a very small land border they have to come by sea and it's very dangerous, and even if they get to Europe they are blackmailed by the traffickers into working for them, otherwise they threaten them....

That is in many ways similar to illegal immigration in the U.S. Most illegal immigants in the U.S. did not have to cross a sea, but the trip is nonetheless quite dangerous. Moreover, the "ecomonics" of illegal immigration are pretty much the same.

Yeah, European human trafficking is primarily for prostitution. A lot of European brothels are full of people who have had this done to them from Eastern Europe. In the Middle East, a lot of human trafficking focuses on domestic servitude, as people are pulled in from Africa, poorer sections of the Middle East, and India for use in rich households. Human trafficking in South and Central America has a lot to do with the transportation of narcotics, especially into the US.

If we want dragons I say we go full Saxon and reinstate the flag of Wessex. Slap a Northern Irish saltire on there somewhere and we're good to go.
(I know that dragon is technically a wyvern.)

Why are far-right groups so popular in Europe?

Extremist groups tend to do well in the wake of economic crisis. The world is still hot on the heels of the Great Recession, and many nations have not recovered or fared worse than others. When such events happen, people look to blame whatever they can: immigration, economic policy, government, etc. They're easy targets, and fringe groups can easily build off this emotional outburst to garner new membership.
It's also worth it to keep in mind that the last true totalitarian power in Europe was left-wing, the USSR, which may bias people against that end of the spectrum.
