If you insist that my score counts, here's a new one:

I entered the second loop with no lives thanks to a really retarded mistake on the stage 5 boss that I did not recover from easily.

Damn, I would just like to break 300k! I haven't played in about 2 weeks because I was also playing 19xx and Espgaluda II, but I think I will put in an hour or two tonight in DB.

That is a really nice score RNG!

You know, if I had started playing this game in a competition like this or STGT, I don't think I'd have done nearly as well. There aren't that many people who are good at memorizing a lot of data in a really short timespan.

That said, if any of you want to keep playing this game and trying to beat my score, I have no doubt you could do it. There are a bunch of great resources out there, including a great play on Youtube by SYO, and I am a really shitty player who can't play the loop for beans and am far too lazy to improve my score at all. If you become good at DB it carries over in a big way to other shmups and even totally different games - i felt a huge jump in my general performance after I had been playing for 2 months.

Are you guys still playing this? Month is almost over. :(

New score:

hashiriya1 - 865,100

I'll try to break a million before the month is done.

Bah! I just played through Dragon Blaze for one "last time" to credit feed through the end and in the process topped 250K, a new best for me. I thought that the high score table at the end would save that 1st credit score even if I continued on, but it did not :( Oh well. Levels 5 and 6 (but no so much 7) were really insane, so extra props to those of you who progressed through them
