Congrats, man! That's quite the accomplishment! Anyone else finish their list yet?

OK, so I just finished up secret of mana. My sentiments about the game are on the previous page. Overall it was good, not great. I'm not sure I understand some things about the ending...is that just ebcause of the translation or because I wasn't paying attention.

SPOILERS: Why did the sprite disappear? I don't remember anyone mentioning that til the end. Also, I'm not sure where this Mana Beast thing came from. It seemed like people in the game started talking about it in the last 3 hours or so as if I already knew what they were on about.

Anyhow, that marks my 8th game down. I've slowed down a lot since I've been home because my girlfriends little brother uses the same TV to game (annoyingly only when I'm home, he games in his room otherwise) and he's frankly a bit of a TV hog  I would like to finish up my list soon, but seeing as I have two fairly long games left, it might not happen. We'll see.

For the record, my list now stands as:

1. Wonder Boy in Monster World (VC - Mega Drive)
2. Secret of Mana (VC - SNES)
3. Final Fantasy IX (PS1)
4. Metroid Prime 2 (GC)
5. Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)
6. Blazing Lasers (TG16)
7. Banjo Kazooie (N64)
8. Panzer Dragoon (Saturn)
9. Punch Out!! (NES)
10. Advance Wars 2 (GBA)

I lol'd a little. The Mana Beast isn't a heavily implied final boss but it's definitely not random either.

Thats some of my final thoughts on the experience. Looking forward to next years!!

If I had to give each game a letter grade it might look like this:

1. Sin & Punishment: Star Successor (Wii) - A+
2. Vay (Sega CD) - A
3. Super Mario Sunshine (GCN) - C
4. Wario Land (VB) - B
5. Battletoads/Double Dragon (SNES) - B+
6. Panzer Dragoon (Sat) - B+
7. Kung Fu (NES) - B-
8. Gex (3DO) - C+
9. Chrono Cross (PS) - C+
10. FFXII (PS2) B-

11. Final Fantasy VIII (PS) - F

man, I'm reading the Chrono Trigger piece on HG101 and feeling so upset that I haven't beaten CT yet. Going through it and seeing ALL the boss battles I've beaten, I kind of forgot just how much time I've put into this.

:(

I really feel like I deserve to see an ending.

Still stuck on the golem twins eh?

Those bastards are so annoying.

I don't know if you care about such things, but there's always gameshark/action replay, for that one battle at least.

yeah still stuck there. But haven't touched it since we last talked about them. I got so annoyed. But y'know, I've grown to really like CT. I'd just really like to see it finished. I don't have any cheat discs or anything. I Guess I just have some grinding to do....

So Ds, how is No One Lives Forever coming? I've got a copy and tried playing it a bit, but something about it just never connected for me.
