I'm also happy to see a truly guaranteed evolution item on streak day 7 now. I caught a great Scyther last week that has terrible moves but it appraised well and is good CP around 1600 so I've got a Scizor candidate that won't mess with my 2215 98% Fury Cutter/Bug Buzz Exeggutor-killing original. I really didn't want to use THAT one anyway.

I saw that pop up too, very pleased. One of them bugs me, that computer chip meant for Porygon 2 evolution. I've got 2, and in the what 9 months that game has been around now I've only SEEN one and in a gym no less, it's non existent around here. They really need to get trades in place.
So far bagged a psyduck(2) today and I haven't seen those in months, a wooper, and also 3 slowpokes (most I've caught in the game since it started) so that's good. I'll get that slowking in no time now. And this was all just in the last hour as that whole mess hadn't started yet earlier this afternoon around 2 1/2 hours ago.

My office is now popping magikarps like they are going out of style. I have caught six this morning.

Popping Magikarps sounds like something people did at raves in the 90sfastbilly1 wrote:My office is now popping magikarps like they are going out of style. I have caught six this morning.

We did. They just make you flop on the floor. Kind of a struggle to get through one.alienjesus wrote:Popping Magikarps sounds like something people did at raves in the 90sfastbilly1 wrote:My office is now popping magikarps like they are going out of style. I have caught six this morning.

The 90s were wild times.
On topic, I caught Remoraid, so that's one more water-type off the list. No luck finding Totodiles yet though, which are the main thing I need.

Re: Pokémon Go (Generation 2 out *NOW!*)
Caught a wild Lanturn today. That means the only water types I'm missing now are:
Totodile
Croconaw
Feraligatr
Slowking (just need a king's rock)
Politoed (just need a king's rock)
Corsola (region exclusive)
Apparently there are shiny magikarps available, but they just show up as regular magikarp on the world map. So I guess you should try and catch every magikarp you come across if you want to find a lovely golden one.

I found like 5+ magikarp yesterday too, about the same amount I've seen since the game started and I popped every one I can find. One of them had over a 155cp rating, the bar was up to like needing a 4000dust drop and it was amazing with 2 max stats. It's my new best friend and decided for comedic value on my screen to buddy it so it flops around.
See I have that wild gyrados I found last year a couple months into the game going live and it is an average level one with the 2 worst moves it can get but kept it, well because it is what it is...still a high CP high life bar pokemon. I'm figuring I can win on this or get move screwed again but at least the body will be all powerful so I'm going to abuse this next 5-6 days and go karp fishing priority 1.

Re: Pokémon Go (Generation 2 out *NOW!*)
This water event has been all right so far.
Caught Qwilfish, hatched Pineco (not water but still a 10km), and FINALLY got my Gyarados.... with Bite/Crunch *facepalm* It came from a Magikarp I saved since August, and at 1800cp it's gonna take me another 400 candies to max it out.
I still have *4* 10km eggs, so that should be exciting.
