Bethesda brought only one previously unleaked thing, Dishonored 2 DLC, which is the only thing that truly caught my interest. Wolfenstein 2 had me paying attention, but after my disappointment with the first one I'm not sure if I'll be jumping in.

Wolfenstein 2 looks incredible and I'm excited for The Evil Within 2.

More Dishonored, I asked for this. 8)

Link in Skyrim is hilarious.

Not really any big surprises... but I wanted more Bethesda sequels and got them. Now I'm hoping we get a follow up to Doom 4 sometime. Still kind of bummed Quake isn't having a campaign.

Was watching the XboneX conference with my friends and was the only who got kinda excited to see Super Lucky's Tale, most of the games show on the conference are console "exclusive" on xbox (they come out on PC too so that only means PS4 is not gettin a port)

I prefer cute colorful platformers than new asscreed: This time we have sand.

I still have the METRO games on my wishlist to play and they are releasing another witch got me excited! Then i saw that is not coming to PS4 and got sad. I hate this paying to developers so this game wont come out on Sony's console. New game looks awesome tough.

NEW DBZ GAME THAT LOOKS AMAZING.

I really hope to see more work like this from Arc System Works since this style they made with the new guilty gear is looking great.

Also cuphead finally has a release date!

Im the only one confused with the Evil Within 2? I dont remember anything about a daughter from the first game.

Then they finished with Wolfenstein II and took a massive lead. Following up on The New Order, setting it in the US, and having the gunplay from The Old Blood. The only way the wishlist could be better is if there's a secret boss that's Hitler in the giant four chaingun mecha from the original.
SOOOO excited for that. That combat looked fun and meaty as fuck, and the storytelling looked just as quality as last time. That will likely, once again, be a game I buy new the week it comes out, which ain't somethin' I do too often. I'm not sure Hitler will be in it though, because wasn't he a boss in Wolfenstein '09 (which this is technically a sequel to)?

Pretty excited for a new METRO game too. I figured one was comin' eventually, because the 3rd book's been out for freakin' ages. I really hope they just call it Metro 2035 this time though :P

---

Honestly, I'm pretty surprised that Psycho Break (The Evil Within) is getting another chance, because the first one had quite the laundry list of questionable design decisions (not to mention narrative ones) that really hurt the overall experience. A sequel should be a chance to fix that stuff though, so hopefully that's what we'll get.

For those saying to go with a PC, it already takes advantage of 4k. This is for console only gamers to upgrade.

I realize that PCs do 4K (without true HDR, though?)...but most people don't hook up their PC to their TV. Most people also don't have 4K TVs, of course, but as I understand it this system is meant to appeal to those who have one or expect to get one soon.

Thus, my question: if you have (or had) a 4K TV, does (or would) the XOX appeal to you?

4K with HDR, no, a $500 PC will not get you that. On the other hand, there are lots of things a PC will get you a dedicated console will not.

That said, do we know Scorpio will run everything natively at 4K? Supposedly the One is 1080p native, but it is constantly reducing the resolution on more demanding titles and ports.

It seems like this Dishonored thing is self contained and getting its own physical release. I'm guessing it's kind of like another Old Blood case, might be a little shorter than 2, but still meatier than regular DLC.

Daud was amazing in the 1 DLC, so it's cool to go back to him a bit and I had a feeling we'd get a game with Billie Lurk.

You would not be able to build something with comparable base specs for that, and would likely need substantially better specs for consistent native 4k gaming. The way consoles implement hardware is a bit different, plus games are optimized for the configuration.

I suspect that, due to the 4k push on consoles, we'll see more games readily able to scale up to that on PC as well using stuff like the tile based 4k the PS4 Pro tends to use or other smart optimizations. Very few GPUs can reliably net 60fps native 4k on PC, and the ones that do (offhand) cost more than the Xbox One X all by themselves (GTX 1080 Ti for instance).
The actual graphics hardware in the system is more comparable to current ~$300 GPUs, which are not sufficient for reliable 4k on PC.

'course, in a year, that could be different, but at launch the One X will offer the most power for the money.
As mentioned though, PC offers other things...and the typical argument I would make is that the better comparison is what a similarly priced upgrade to someone's PC would bring. So it's less what a $500 PC can do, but what a $500 GPU added to the PC you already own (or would buy) could offer.

I think it'll be good for those that have invested in the system as well, since if most titles actually just get scaled up, it'll be like getting a new PC and seeing how well your old games run.

I don't yet have a 4k TV, but unless Sony changes something, I'll likely upgrade my Xbox One when I do get one, for 4k Ultra Blu-ray playback...a One X might be appealing when I do that, if there's software I want for it.

On the Xbox conference, most of the games were, "Console launch exclusive," which is different than, "Console esclusive." They used a lot of shifty language to one up Sony on making you think it was true exclusive.

After a few trailers i got confused on witch games were console exclusive and launch exclusive. Though Sony does that too, and im sure it will do it this year as well, they use "First on PlayStation".
