I have to get on that too. I've had it since last year's Steam summer sale and haven't touched it yet. It is hard to find time to play it with little ones running around a lot.

Doom: Eternal could literally be the same exact game with more levels and I'd still be thrilled.

Yep. Sounds like they already confirmed a bunch of new enemies though.

Elder Scrolls this Fallout that... nah, it's all about DOOM ETERNAL!

Shoot, the teaser trailer that was shown had an Arch-vile in it. Fingers crossed for Pain Elementals.

Yeah, fuck you, Pit!

I usually finish The Pit with low health and/or armor and virtually no ammo. This time I finished it with 200% health, 197% armor, and a good amount of ammo.

I'm finally played Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders myself and it clicked hard, it's amazing stuff. The entire Heretic/Hexen collection was dollars on the Steam summer sale so I grabbed it then, as usual I just threw gzdoom in the directory to play it in better form.

Heretic 4 lyfe, son.

Hey, are there any mods that modernize Wolfenstein 3D the way that there are for DOOM? I am curious about base Wolf3D and Spear of Destiny.

The two I know of are NewWolf and WolfSDL. Neither does much other than update the controls to support mouse and keyboard and run natively on modern Windows.

Just knocked out 10 maps of the Hellbound megawad and this one freaking rules! Loving it so far. It's a 2013 release and shows, the textures/architecture is extremely detailed. Love how the levels are continuously linked too giving off the vibe of one huge journey.

Here's one map I liked a lot, it was like some UAC subway military complex. This player is using Complex Doom as well which I'm doing. Though their configuring leaves a bit to be desired... kind of dark and drab looking, I've got it a bit brighter and more colorful.
