Re: Fire Emblem Heroes Mobile: Opinions, tips and strategies
I've spent $6 on orbs, but that was less because I hit a wall and more because I had used all of my early orbs on castle upgrade and was tired of using characters for whom I didn't particularly care. It definitely helped to have a better team make-up, but I hadn't gotten stuck; I just wanted some new folks.

So Nintendo is making money hand over fist on this game. How do I know this? I don't have any numbers to prove it, but I do have a sliver of proof. Today I fought in the arena 3 teams that consisted entirely of 5 star takumis. If you complete everything in the game and get all the orbs currently available, you would have to have gotten one 5 star takumi every 1.5 times you redeemed heroes. And in each round it is a 3% chance to get a 5 star heroes, let alone a takumi.
People are putting down mad cash for this.

there was a guy interviewed on... Polygon? I think?... who said he bought $1,000 worth of orbs.BogusMeatFactory wrote:So Nintendo is making money hand over fist on this game. How do I know this? Yeah that is dumb. Sure if you want to have a leg up right out the gate, but I assure you the play field is level already. I beat 2 out of the 3 takumi teams and I had 2 team members that are 4 star.
I am already only 3 k away from making a 4 star heroes into a 5 star so even that is a viable option.

Terrible draw last night. Four neutrals, all 3-star, and Barst, a 4-star green. And one of the neutrals I drew twice, and one was a character I already have.

you know you can merge duplicates to make them a single stronger unit, right?Sarge wrote:Terrible draw last night. Four neutrals, all 3-star, and Barst, a 4-star green. And one of the neutrals I drew twice, and one was a character I already have.

Yep, but that doesn't help me get to 5-star any time soon.noiseredux wrote:you know you can merge duplicates to make them a single stronger unit, right?Sarge wrote:Terrible draw last night. it really doesn't take very long considering nintendo gave everyone a 10k feather gift. Just do your best in the arena and you will be 5 star in nour time.
PRO TIP! If a character dies in a battle, they lose the xp they earned in that fight.

I did not know this, but it makes sense, and it explains a lot. I'd been working under the assumption that as long as your team won, your characters all kept the earned xp.BogusMeatFactory wrote:PRO TIP! If a character dies in a battle, they lose the xp they earned in that fight.

yeah that's why I will often retreat one character if they're super close to death but just leveled up.
