I'm going to at least attempt to take part in this, been trying to get into more shmups lately and after playing a few well known games (The Gradius Series, Life Force, R-Type and Sin&Punishment 1 and 2 (I know it's technically a rail shooter but given the freedom of movement and style of projectiles it sure plays like a shmup)). I'm going to try and stick with it but I expect to get my ass handed to me given that I'm not exactly good.

I like this. The more new-to-the-genre folks join in, the less likely Noise and I will bring up the rear every month.

My copy of Layer Section arrived today. Beautiful game, and I can already last almost a full minute in it! You guys better watch out - I'm after that coveted "Bottom Of The Pile" position!
