Then explain it to me. I already admitted on one of my messages that you can't "scientifically" label these terms. That is the only point I see in your argument. And why you would oppose a "broad definition" that's accepting of many different genres and playstyles, I have no clue.

Who said that debating this issue is a central part of my identity? That is the most inane "counter argument" I've ever heard, you could apply it to any political or any debate and it would make just as much sense and be equally useless.

You did, and while you could apply my advice's reasoning to any subject, it's conclusion would not necessarily be correct, as it is here.

Likewise, if someone insists on debating the meaning of "hardcore games" in threads completely unrelated to the topic, then he is annoying his fellow forum members and, for their sake if nothing else, should reconsider making any more posts on the subject.

EDIT: To provide some clarity in the raging "is this hardcore?" debate, I think we should all pitch in to order our fellow forum member one of these with the word "HARDCORE" on it. That way, if he saw something "HARDCORE", he could quickly - and easily - label it as such and there would be no more confusion as to whether said object was, in fact "HARDCORE".
