Funny it seems how everyone else got my argument and points except for you. Don't you think it is time to just stop and move along?
This gen. is over . Do you hold highly any console?

Depends on whether they're DoDonPachi hardcore or Bucky O Hare "hardcore".Ack wrote:If all the people who were "hardcore" were jumping off a bridge, would you?
So why reply in the first place? There would be no argument if you hadn't replied to me. I said in my original message "we've been over this in another thread".Jmustang1968 wrote:Whining? Then explain it to me. I already admitted on one of my messages that you can't "scientifically" label these terms. That is the only point I see in your argument. And why you would oppose a "broad definition" that's accepting of many different genres and playstyles, I have no clue.Jmustang1968 wrote: Funny it seems how everyone else got my argument and points except for you.
I'm not a modern gamer who quits after the first death, I'm hardcore.Jmustang1968 wrote: Don't you think it is time to just stop and move along?

You did, and while you could apply my advice's reasoning to any subject, it's conclusion would not necessarily be correct, as it is here.Menegrothx wrote:Who said that debating this issue is a central part of my identity? That is the most inane "counter argument" I've ever heard, you could apply it to any political or any debate and it would make just as much sense and be equally useless.prfsnl_gmr wrote: If debating the meaning of "hardcore games" is a central part of someone's identity, then he should seriously reconsider his priorities and what he hopes to get out of life.
<sigh>...Menegrothx wrote:You are not the OP of this thread, RCBH928 is. And who asked that question in the first place? RCBH928 did. And I answered. And then Jmustang1968 started whining how my answer to that question was wrong, with out providing a better alternative.prfsnl_gmr wrote: Likewise, if someone insists on debating the meaning of "hardcore games" in threads completely unrelated to the topic, then he is annoying his fellow forum members and, for their sake if nothing else, should reconsider making any more posts on the subject.
I can only give you advice. I can't make you follow it. Please carry on.
EDIT: To provide some clarity in the raging "is this hardcore?" debate, I think we should all pitch in to order our fellow forum member one of these with the word "HARDCORE" on it. That way, if he saw something "HARDCORE", he could quickly - and easily - label it as such and there would be no more confusion as to whether said object was, in fact "HARDCORE".

I wonder if on porn forums they debate so fiercely about what constitutes hardcore porn.
