If you downed those two you would have been able to get a 270X which utterly smashes the 250ti in every way.
Do you mean the 750 Ti? I'm more of an Nvidia guy anyways, and I didn't want to drop more than $200 on the GPU. And based on the recommended specs listed HERE, the 750 Ti should be able to run Thief without any problems.
And yes, admittedly, I opted for a bit of an over-the-top mouse. Couldn't resist.

Bummer, I'd love to see someone's thoughts on this that I actually respect, other than random reviews.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Did you make sure to check 'Exclusive Fullscreen' in the settings using the launcher? That helped get the game up and running for me, though its in-game performance after the fact cut short any relief I felt from finally getting it to launch.

Yeah, I can run the benchmark with everything maxed out and it is fine sometimes, sometimes it just crashes to desktop. Same with the game, run for a few minutes, then crash to desktop.
Don't have time right now, but will play with it and see if I can get it ironed out.
I have played about 30 mins into it, it has crashed to desktop on me quite a few times.
The game is visually nice, not 'woah amazing poly count' nice, but 'i dig this art style' nice, it is similar to Dishonored, but with a less "cartoon" look, which I think works well. The world is lovely, it is far less steampunk than I expected, there are hints of it, but it feels far more medieval than steampunk.
The controls with keyboard and mouse just feel horrid, you run and jump with the same button (similar to Assassins Creed), in some situations you have to move your hands around objects, on a controller you just move the analog stick and you move your hand, however with the mouse you have to move the mouse up, then almost pick the mouse up, then move it up again like 4 times, it just feels like PC controls were slapped on. Not to mention the mouse is floaty with no ability to turn off mouse acceleration.
That being said the second I started using my controller (which some people are reporting is the cause for crashing) the game felt right and amazing. You freerun / jump with the left trigger similar to AC and it flows nicely.
If you plan on playing the game on your pc, in its current state I suggest using a controller.
The game itself I can't comment much on, the stealth mechanics I have only used the basics but so far they feel solid, if I can play for a bit without a crash I will fill you guys in.
