Second, no? I thought Lilyhammer was the first. Haven't seen it though. It stars Steven "Silvio Dante" Van Zandt from what I hear.

Don't know if it would your thing just recommending it to everyone that hasn't watched it.
If you like that, you should watch Loren Bouchard's other work. Dr. Katz, and especially Home Movies.

Well I've seen sites advertising House of Cards as their first original series, but I haven't researched it.

These are the ones I have watched on Netflix that I enjoyed:
The Walking Dead
Breaking Bad
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret
Blue Mountain State
Shameless (first couple seasons, then it went downhill)
Sons of Anarchy

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I actually don't watch much tv. I haven't had cable/satellite in over a decade. I'll go a few months without watching anything and then I will have a marathon session on a day off and watch an entire series or season, and then not watch anything for a few more months.

I want to throw in another nod for Friday Night Lights. I've been on a marathon and am almost halfway through season 2. It's really good. There's 5 seasons on Netflix. At the rate I'm going I'll be at season 3 in no time.

Huh? I thought Home Movies was a Brendon Small show. I know I've seen Dr. Katz but I remember nothing about it. It was on TV before I really remember watching TV I guess. As for Lucy I remember it being on adult swim but I think I had only seen one episode.

I'll try to check out Dr. Katz and Lucy since I can't stand Home Movies after having a roommate obsessed with the show and Brendon Small as a person, I guess he used to send him weird messages on Myspace till Brendon blocked him. I heard about this when roomie was drunk and crying about being blocked so there's some bad memories about the show I'm general for me.

Spaced - both seasons were good, funny, random. Not bad for a 30 minute filler when you're too tired for a drama. 7/10

Todd Margaret - both seasons very funny, somewhat of an arc considering it was a mindless comedy, great performances from everyone. Clever, witty and incredibly raunchy - Will Arnett was superb as always, but more than a few times it was cringeworthy. I can handle rough language and innuendo, I just don't think the pedophilia stuff is ever funny and i'm not sure anyone does. The other stuff can make you cringe and be shocked, which is good fun, but the pedo stuff just makes me sick :/ - 8/10

House of Cards - (4) episodes in. Wow, I had heard it was good - it is in fact excellent. Robin Wright and Kevin Spacey are at their best, super stuff. Almost feels like "The Wire" as things are constantly being setup. The art and direction are very different, but the scripting feels very tight and controlled, very little waste going on here. Clever dialogue and strong characters all around, all the bit players for sure - very well cast. Almost could pass for an HBO show, it's that good. The only "annoying" thing is the little asides that Kevin Spacey does to the audience, the first episode they were helpful in letting us know who's who, but now it can go away. Small thing though. - 9/10 so far.

I was introduced to a show by my sister in law called Green Wing. It's basically the Brit version of Scrubs, except it's actually funny. Fans of Spaced will notice the guy that played Brian Topp is in it.
