I have no idea what people are moaning about specifically with this console.
I found it humorous that you made this statement while quoting someone's comment regarding the repeated need to unplug the console due to hard locks.

This seems to be a very common complaint on forums. It seems to happen with pretty much any game, and even the OS itself.

I've seen it happen during Sonic racing once on my friend's Wii U. Have yet to see it on mine. This is once in about 36+ hours of gameplay. So it's not often but once is still too much. We'll see if the problem persists.

I have 39 play hours on the WiiU and have had a single lockup that required me to pull the plug, which happened in the first week of ownership.

Always remember, the people who have problems will always speak louder than the contented people with no problem. It makes it hard to really tell how large of a problem it is.

I still think it's all caused by networking. Since I got the USB ethernet adapter I've had nothing but smooth sailing with the console.

I had it happen once since launch, some never got it and others got it a few times. It never seemed to cause any long term damage either. I believe that last patch was suppose to correct it as well. Seems almost moot at this point. But yeah it was a bad glitch in the system.
I'm also pretty sure it was a networking issue.

Kotaku of course has another negative article this morning because some people in Japan tweeted that their Gamepads broke after dropping them a short distance. All WiiU Gamepads are easily breakable and crap now

There's certainly less noise about the Wii U's issues than the 360 had at this point in its life.

I've had a Wii U since day one here in the UK (Nov 30), have played the console loads, and I have not had a single problem or freeze (yet at least... touch wood). I agree with RyaNtheSlayA.

Honestly I don't mind lockups every now and then as long as patches can fix the problem in the future.. So far my experiences with the console have been great.. Just want some more games on it, even multiplat titles..

Aside from my first system being totally DOA. I haven't had a single issue with my second one. It's never frozen and since setting my IP/DNS settings manually I've not experienced any slow loading. MiiVerse takes a few seconds. Internet comes up straight away. The only times I get a pause is when an app tries to update itself.

I would like to say that I was simply stating a fact. Not moaning about it. The second paragraph of my statement was cut off, about how much I love this system. Since the update I haven't had any problems with freezing or locking up, and I have been playing just as much. In my mind this issue is fixed.

My only remaining complaints would be the ridiculously sized day 1 update and in game load times. I've heard Iwata apologized about the day 1 update. I don't believe Sony or MS would, in a similar situation. The load times are what they are with this proprietary high capacity blue diode disc (Blu-Ray for the rest of the world). Still better than PS1.

I wish the Wii U would allow installs. I have a 1TB external hooked up. The load times on ZombiU are annoying at times. Haven't had issues with Nintendo Land or Sonic racing. Haven't tried TTT2 yet!
