What are your picks for the best/worst games of 2011?

Anything that is gaming related that doesn't fit well anywhere else

well they were 2011 in those formats. I mentioned all three cases that YES I KNOW THEY'RE RE-RELEASES BUT...
Well just out of curiosity, if you didn't include re-releases what other games would've made your list?

Also yeah that list of yours did remind me that the ps3 port of No More Heroes actually made it to the US after all. And it's dirt cheap.

I'll go ahead and ask in here: I've got both a Wii and Ps3, and I've never played the game. Which version of No More Heroes should I get, Ps3 or Wii? I don't have PS Move and I don't plan to get it.

not positive. Earth Defense Force was strongly considered. It's such a stupid game, but definitely a lot of fun. I also had thought about Where Is My Heart? which was a very unique and pretty puzzle/platformer. But yeah I'm not really sure. I definitely played a fair share of re-releases, remakes, etc this year so if I'm to really think about my playing habits and what games I'll remember 2011 for, the re-releases hold just as much weight as the brand new games to me.

I've yet to play the Wii version, but, the PS3 version includes the bosses from the second game. You can skip the fights if you know how to (I think), but yeah, if you haven't played the second game yet seeing all the bosses first would ruin a lot of the game for you.

I've also heard the load times are worse on the PS3 version and it's a little glitchy. The load times seem fine to me, but the gameplay is a tad glitchy sometimes. Nothing very bothersome though. The visual update looks very good in any case.

GOTY for me is Skyrim of course. Elder Scrolls has been my favorite series since Morrowind came out. Runner up has to be Uncharted 3. I just beat it today. I can't think of any bad games because I don't usually play bad games.

Valkyrie Profile is the best game of every year. Including 1988.

Er...I liked the new Tactics Ogre a lot. I didn't really buy any 2011 games in 2011. Still don't have Skyward Sword! That belongs on the list too.

It wasn't in my original post, but I have to give a shout out to Sonic Generations. It's Sonic done right. When Sonic is done right, he puts other platformers to shame. I've had more fun with Generations than Super Mario 3D Land and Rayman Origins, both of which are good games. They just don't have the fun and energy of a good Sonic game though
