Sonic and Knuckles came out the same holiday season as Donkey Kong Country. Also, the saturn hadn't been released at that point (in NA anyway).

Also interesting that you have vectorman as your avatar, since both vectorman games were released for the genesis after the saturn had come out. Vectorman 2 was one of the last great genesis games.
