Games Beaten : 2011
Re: Games Beaten : 2011
Since we're recommending Disney games, I had a good time with The Magical Quest, Starring Mickey Mouse and The Great Circus Mystery, Starring Mickey and Minnie. They're both pretty easy platformers, but I had a lot of fun with both. And The Great Circus Mystery is multiplayer if you've got a friend handy who is interested!

1. Karateka – Atari 7800
2. Final Fantasy Mystic Quest – SNES
3. Alien Crush – TG16 - *NEW*
I played Alien Crush (pinball game) for a couple hours this evening and exceeded 10,000,000 points before running out of balls
so I'm chalking it up as beaten.

The game is put together much better than anyone would have guessed. I really think it is the total package.final fight cd wrote:sounds like quackshot is favorite. i will have to search my local stores for one.

Re: Games Beaten : 2011
The 8-bit and 16-bit eras were just the best for Disney games and cartoon based games in general. Even the Kingdom Hearts games don't match the awesomeness of the old school Disney games like Chip n Dale's Rescue Rangers on the NES, Castle of Illusion, both the SNES and Genesis versions of Aladdin, Animaniacs on the SNES, Mickey Mania...
God, there were so many awesome platformers back then!
Luke mentioned TMNT on the Gameboy. Are we talking about this one:
Because I used to love that game!

Well, the Animaniacs were Warner Brothers characters (hell, they called themselves that), not Disney, but the game was still awesome.

Games Finished 2011
Space Invaders Extreme 2 was pretty easy, but I still had a lot of fun with it and the branching paths give it quite a bit of replay value. The first game was a bit better due to the greater challenge, IMO. That being said, I picked it up for about $10 new at Gamestop, and it was totally worth it!
SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium was actually very challenging, especially towards the end. I played through tournament mode as Ken, and will probably play through again today as either Ryu or Chun Li. It looks like there are unlockable characters, so I'm going to mess around with that a bit.

Re: Games Beaten : 2011
1. Deja Vu
2. Lunar Legend
3. Skies of Arcadia Legends
4. No more heroes 2(new)
5. Streets of Rage 2(new)
Streets of Rage 2 is the first beat 'em up I have beaten, and played. Maybe I should try and beat the first streets of rage now.
I finally beat No More Heroes 2 after a year. I need to stop putting games down right before the end of the game. In this case it was only 2 hours of gameplay until I was done.

Yeah, I sort of forgot to mention that. I was trying to point out that cartoon games in general were awesome back then. I think it was Konami that was pretty good with the Warner stuff(like Animaniacs and The Adventures of Batman and Robin)while Capcom did more Disney stuff I think. Sega had a lot of awesome Disney stuff too though. In fact, they kind of outdid Capcom in that area I think. You look at a game like Capcom's Aladdin, which was awesome on the SNES, but the Genesis one by Sega and Virgin Interactive made more of an impressionCFFJR wrote:^

I miss the 16-bit era
Need to buy more Gameboy Advance games to play on my DS
