Very pleasant post..Niode wrote: WTF? Why is there no G25 support... It's there in Gran Turismo 4... Seriously did PD just shit this one out the door? Hello? 6 years in development and it doesn't have features that were present in the previous generation. What a joke.

I'm just curious because the Eurogamer review mentioned that it's really not that great to play with a controller, but great with a wheel. I've always wanted to get a racing wheel for one of my systems, but never could justify the cost before.
I am using a wheel. They don't have G25/G27 support yet (they are working on a patch), so I am using a GT Force for now. Eurogamer is right. The game is completely different with a wheel. I can't go back to using a control pad. It's like playing a light gun game with a control pad controlling cross-hairs on the screen vs using an actual light gun. The difference is that big. Bottom line: GET A WHEEL. The newer GT Force is good enough. If you are a fan of racing games, then the wheel is useful for other games as well.
Do you have a G25, or even Gran Turismo 5? If not, why would you care? It doesn't affect you in any way. I almost regret mentioning GT5's temporary lack of G25 support because I feel I just fed the Sony Hate Machine. G25 owners have to wait a month or two to use our G25s with the game. We'll live.
We know, Niode, you hate Sony and anyone that is associated with them. They will never change, so just let it go. Seriously, it's old. If you can't let it go, please stop trolling this thread. You are better than that. I have biases, too. But I am not going into every thread that is related to my biases and bashing the games and/or devs that I don't like. You know what I do? I don't go into those threads. It's simple, really. Try it.

Who gives a shit? Everybody knows Rad Racer on the NES is still the best racing game ever. And they did 3D on the NES way before Gran Turismo and the PlayStation were even born! So step to that

Shit, is anyone actually talking about the game, or are we just going to keep banging on about the things it lacks and the power of teh cell.
I finally finished off that damn Samba Bus Top Gear challenge, took me ages to get gold, and now I'm trying the Elise challenge and it's even harder! Argh.
Also, does anyone have any tips for B-Spec? My driver R.Romero is more than a bit shit, he can't seem to win races that I won easily, even when I give him a better car. I thought the idea of B-Spec was to earn you extra money? At this point I'm spending more than I'm winning by upgrading cars so my driver can actually win.
And finally, I'm trying to collect all the cars that can have the Racing Mod applied to them - so far I've got an Evo and a Nissan SILVIA;

Yeah that Top Gear challenge is a bitch.. All three levels.. My drivers is I. Small(haha)... I think it's best that you enter a race with your guy, if he's a level above the requirement.. Also, I'm hearing that you need to keep his mood even.. He's going to suck at first, but once he levels up he'll win even in a similarly powered car to the competition..Bootaaay wrote:Shit, is anyone actually talking about the game, or are we just going to keep banging on about the things it lacks and the power of teh cell.

In all seriousness, there is no doubt the 4G63 is one of the best engines Japan has ever produced.
Re: Gran Turismo 5.....was it worth the wait?
a 4G63 better then an EJ20? Then we'll bring in the EJ22 and cheat
