Anyone buy yet? There seems to be some uproar about performance issues... but I'm having a hard time figuring out whether or not it's newcomers freaking out that aren't familiar with the game's general carelessness and low fps, or if this new release is somehow worse.

I haven't picked it up yet but, and I believe I mentioned this before, the Asian PS3 port has issues not found in the 360 release.

If they screwed up the directors cut... well, that sucks.

Its very apparent at some points when it hits, I didnt notice this on the xbox release. My only gripe with the original was the car handling, so if they fixed that up along with added story, the dips in performance are passable since it happens when there's alot of action going on. Unfortunately it can be as noticable as max paynes bullet time. :|

i have it, and while i never played the xbox version, im usually one to be annoyed about frame rate drop. i don't care about looks, but frame rate usally bothers me a lot. that being said, this may be the only game where it doesn't bother me in the least. don't get me wrong, it's noticeable, more than noticeable really, but it has yet to hinder my total enjoyment of the game. I seriously love this game.
